Background

Olga Timurgalieva is a nomadic researcher who has graduated from the joint master program Media Arts Cultures (Danube University Krems, Aalborg University, Lodz University). Additionally, she holds a master degree in Cultural Studies at the Higher School of Economics (Moscow). Olga gained practical experience at such art institutions as the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, V-A-C Foundation (Moscow), Archive of Digital Art (ADA) (Krems an der Donau), the Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe. She assisted exhibitions "Open Codes" in ZKM, Karlsruhe and Chronus Art Center, Shanghai and co-curated "Seasons of Media Arts" in Karlsruhe as well as "here and elsewhere" in Lodz. Olga also received scholarships from European Commission, ZKM, ADA, Hong Kong SAR, Belt & Road. Her research interests are biotechnological art, posthumanism, new materialism, digital art, biomedia.
