DECADE Reconstructed, a performer-composer project that revisits Hong Kong history through live cinematic and musical narratives

Organised by the West Kowloon Cultural District, DECADE (www.yourdecade.hk) is a digital art project that pairs together archive footage of Hong Kong from the last 10 decades with music accompaniments by 10 composers to create new interpretations of the metropolis over 100 years. Mentored by composer Steve Hui, 10 student performer-composers from the composition and performance streams of The Modern Academy 2015 are invited to compose new pieces based on the film clips and showcase their new works in this public performance.

再建拾年 。 一個穿梭香港百年電影片段的作曲演奏家創作計劃

《拾 · 年》（www.yourdecade.hk) 是一個由西九文化區主辦的創意數碼計劃，把香港過往一百多年的珍貴影像片段，編輯成10齣錄像作品，再由10位音樂家譜上樂章，以聲音及影像重塑香港的城市面貌變遷。在作曲家許敖山的指導下，10位來自現代學院作曲及演奏課程的學員重新為 《拾 · 年》的影像配樂，並作公開演奏，帶來他們心目中的香港城市風貌。
