Display of Leung Kui Ting’s Unique 360-Degree Projection Installation
This project uses City University of Hong Kong’s unique 360-degree projection installation to provide the viewer with an immersive appreciation of Leung Kui Ting’s panoramic painting, Circulatory Landscape. Inside this 30 metre long and 5 metre high visual arena, the digitally scanned scroll painting is transfigured into an embodied life-sized landscape that the viewer enters into as it moves around.
This project was conceived and produced at the CityU LUXLAB, a specialized ultra-high resolution digital scanning facility, and at the CityU Centre for Applied Computing and Interactive Media (ACIM), under the direction of Professor Jeffrey Shaw, Dean of the School of Creative Media.
