This workshop is to provide an introduction to motion capture and showing participants how to use the motion capture system available at SCM. The workshop will include walking participants through the processes of setting up the motion capture system, capturing motion data and then importing it into software for offline animation using Blender (an open source 3D modelling programme). Examples of motion capture and its creative applications will be given alongside an explanation of the different kinds of motion capture systems available. The workshop is intended for participants of all backgrounds, abilities and interests.
