The School of Creative Media (SCM) is pleased to present the much anticipated, the SCM Annual 2016. The show will display a wide variety of artwork by the freshest graduates of the school, who undertook a course of mixed media training and cannot wait to debut their artworks.The graduates this year underwent phenomenal transformations within the 34 years of study.

Having received a range of interdisciplinary training, the exhibitors are excited to showcase the output of their study, by combining their immense talents and ideas with the skillset they have developed in the SCM. The show will feature a exciting lineup of artworks ranging from photography, film to sound art and interactive installations, etc. Screenings of 2D and 3D animation, documentaries, narrative and experimental films are scheduled to screen at the cinema theatre.

The exhibition unveils the visage of the students as they express their cogitations in a form of art. Hence this year, the theme of the graduation is ‘Lossless’. Lossless, is a digital terminology which contests the idea of data compression. In a state of lossless, you will be able to witness the reveal of the students’ thinking in the purest form.

The SCM Annual will be open daily from July 14 to August 1, and opening ceremony on July 14 6:30p.m at the Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre of City University of Hong Kong. You are cordially invited to this indelible event, where the fresh blood will be establishing themselves as youthful artists to the local art scene. Here you will find the transcendence of the students, articulating their voices with each of their own distinctive media artwork.
