Pattern of lights

Inspired by the billboard spotlight overlapping in our hustle and bustle city. We rethink all different kind of relationships within the city.

“Pattern of Lights” is a kinetic light installation consisting of 35 light bulbs with lamp shade on a 9ft x 8ft wall. The lamp shades response and create different light overlap motion pattern according to the audience’s distant towards the work.

Extends the daily experience of citizen, living under all the busy street lights in an abstract way. It brings to audience to expand and rethink how relationship affects and interact between each individual and how the difference each individual is and how the same we are. How distance affect relationships and behavior and the distance between objects give different result.
