Jin Chen is a scholar whose research lies at the intersection of film studies and gender studies. Her academic interests encompass film history, women’s authorship, and the study of production cultures and visual labor within the context of the global media industry. Her work pays particular attention to how gender, power, and labor are articulated through cinematic practices and industrial structures. She holds an MA in Film Studies from King’s College London and earned a PhD from the City University of Hong Kong.
