20th SIG Playful Media Showcase 2026

Our main theme this time is “SUPERIMPOSITION”, tracing the multi-dimensional trajectory of the “self” through mismatched layers of art. We invite you to step into this exhibition not just as a viewer, but as a co-creator who endows these infinite layers with your own meaning. The exhibition features works from various fields, including installation art, animation, game design and film.

GUEST LECTURE ABSTRACT

Founded in 2009, Guangzhou Anteng Information Technology Co., Ltd. created the indie gaming brand NTFusion. The self-funded, around 30-member studio initially launched dozens of featured Flash games on major Western portals like Kongregate, Newgrounds and Armorgames before transitioning to HTML5 and mobile platforms.

Its representative series games, Beasts Evolved, launched in 2017. With its Chinese-style silhouette art style and unique collision-based combat experience, it received consistent recommendations from major app stores, including Apple Store, Google, and domestic and international platforms, and has remained active ever since, accumulating over 10 million players and generating over 300 million RMB in revenue. In early 2024, the studio released Beasts Evolved 2 in Mainland China, generating 40 million RMB in its first month and reaching 5 million global players to date. In this session, the speaker will leverage NTFusion’s journey to share practical industry insights for students aspiring to launch their own indie game startups.
