The Federation of Hong Kong Filmmakers was jointly established in 2002 by nine professional associations within Hong Kong’s film industry, making it one of the major organizations representing film workers in Hong Kong. It is dedicated to safeguarding the rights and well-being of film industry professionals and supporting the continued development of the sector.
The founding convener of the Federation is Dr. Jackie Chan, and the Permanent Honorary President is Mr. Ng See-yuen. Representatives appointed by each association jointly form the Executive Committee to oversee the Federation’s operations.
As of the end of 2024, the number of industry associations under the Federation has grown to 15. The current (12th-term) President is Mr. Louis Koo.
