Amy Tong is a Hong Kong-based artist whose work explores themes of affect, migration, memory, and the intersections of personal and collective histories. Her practice is deeply rooted in her extensive routine of personal documentation, which includes taking videos and photographs, writing journal entries, and digitising her late relatives' possessions. She frames her research in a creation process with archiving and mapping in the framework of thinking-in-movement and walking-writing to facilitate deep explorations of identity and history. 

Tong received her postgraduate degree (MA) in Visual Arts from the Academy of Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University. She has had solo exhibitions at Square Street Gallery and RNH Space in Hong Kong (both in 2021), as well as group presentations in Tokyo, Abu Dhabi, and London.
Currently, Tong is experimenting with new and sustainable materials for her art-making, seeking to push the boundaries of her practice while remaining mindful of environmental impact.
