Cheng Nga Yan is a Hong Kong-based media artist and performer whose interdisciplinary practice brings together interactive installations, sound, electronics, moving images and performance. She holds a BEng in Information Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and an MFA in Creative Media with Distinction from City University of Hong Kong.

Through audience interaction and participatory experiences, she draws on close observations of her surroundings to investigate how different media formats shape our understanding of performance and embodied experience. Her works have been presented through exhibitions, performances and screenings.
As a collaborative artist, Cheng has been actively involved as a performer, media designer, web designer and developer, and project coordinator in interdisciplinary projects spanning dance productions, exhibitions and digital platforms.
