Tu Lang (Lena) is a visual artist, designer and researcher. Her media art practice and research examine the omnipresence of the Internet and how this infrastructure serves as a critical lens for examining the influence of technology on identity, emotion, everyday behaviour, consumption and cultural phenomena. She finished her PhD research on “Cyber-Shanzhai” and post-internet art practice at the Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University. She graduated from the Glasgow School of Art with a BA (Hons) in Visual Communication and from Kingston University, London, with an MA in Experimental Film. She also founded an experimental brand sitch, and a curatorial research project SPAM Project. She exhibited her works globally, such as Square Street Gallery Hong Kong, Current Plans Hong Kong, MadeIn Gallery Shanghai, Capri by Night Cologne, Galaxy Contemporary Art Museum, I: Project Space, “NEoN New Media Art Festival” Dundee, “Take in Natural” We Gallery Shanghai, “B3+Moving Image Biennale” CAFA Museum Beijing, etc.
