KE, Pingchuan Patrick 柯平川

Background

Ke Pingchuan (Patrick) is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Hong Kong Shue Yan University and an Adjunct Professor at Krirk University. He also serves as a judge for the Asia Innovation and Invention Exhibition cum the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva (Asia Station).

His current research focuses on digital media art and technology, virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), artificial intelligence (AI), and digital cultural heritage. His work has been published in prestigious journals and conferences such as Nature Electronics, IEEE TVCG, and IEEE VR, among others. Additionally, his research outputs and creative works have been presented internationally at top-tier conferences (e.g., IEEE VR 2021, SIGGRAPH Asia 2019/2021/2023 E-Tech) and exhibitions (e.g., the 48th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva (IEIG); the Hong Kong Innovation and Invention Expo (HKII) 2023, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre; the Digital Entertainment Leadership Forum (DELF) 2022, organized by Hong Kong Cyberport; and events hosted at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum and the Guangdong Museum).
